Where is good old Ozzy when you need him? (oh I just see you've arrived )

Calling all graphic and artistsic gurus out there.

We are in process of website development as per our recent dev blog outlines. We are looking for banners, buttons, logos.. any bits and pieces really. If you have experience with working on website templates even better. Only the extremely talented with godlike powers of visual manipulation need apply...

There is an old post around here that sherrec posted with images from old nima site. it may be a good starting point for those interested in giving it a bash...

Are you planning on keeping the same logo, colour schemes?

I think you've got pretty much free range on those fronts... we'll consider everything.
We've had some ideas ourselves so just throw something out there..

Logo Stays. Full stop. We vote on it if we have to, but that logo says NiMa.

The only copy of that logo that we have, that I know of, is that poor quality JPEG at the top of the screen, unless someone has the original hidden away somewhere.

Personally I think a new face would be good for the community. We're not the same Nima we were when we first rolled out the black and yellow and the current logo, and it would be nice to reflect that. That's something that those of us currently lucky enough to be working on this project all agree on.

We have some nice ideas floating around at the moment so please, keep an open mind until we show them to you, mmmkay?

Granted we do not have all the old website graphics. So a lot of it will have to be re done.

I am in favour of a re-design of the logo, but not total abandonment of all the previous work done. Perhaps a new colour scheme, but the logo designs are actually very good. I say keep them in some form or another.

Remember at the end of the day it's no single person's decision as to what stays and what goes, we will more than likely decide through the proper channels, be it polls or irc chat etc.

I have to say I'd go the other way from you guys and have new logo, but keep yellow on Black. I think that more than anything else is that recognisable "NiMa" look.

well I thought with nima taking another change, maybe the logo is part of the old nima esports/server hosting. just like the change when nightmare freelancer became nima if any of you can remember that change. but even without the logo, you can tell its nima

We could "modernize" the old logo: change colours (to Xanas' green for example), make it elliptic - whatever, I'm terrible [s]at doing logos[/s].
